I'm gonna be honest: I have no clue. I also don't use hosts but it was in the list of distributed formats used by another list so I also threw it in as generating it was no effort at all. It was a couple years ago at this point so I forgot any research I've done on the format and IPv6. It'd be best if we can get someone who actually uses it to chime in. |

I don't actually use the hosts file so sorry if this is a known bug somewhere (I would expect a lot of software that reuses this format to not even care for the address here, but I'm not sure), but this caught me off guard, shouldn't it be "::"? (yes, that's 0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000)
