I have seen that there are certain inconsistencies in the EOL cycle of a product, sometimes it is of the form "major.minor.path", sometimes only "major.minor" and sometimes only "major" |

That's not inconsistencies: it all depends on the support policy of the product. Just looking at the release cycle list should be enough to deduce it in most case. |
