+# Insporation Child Safety Standards
+

+These Child Safety Standards apply to **Insporation**, an open source mobile client for the **diaspora\*** federated social network, published by **jhass**.
+
+## 1. Our commitment
+
+Insporation has zero tolerance for **child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)** and **child sexual abuse material (CSAM)**.
+
+Users may not use Insporation to create, upload, post, request, share, promote, or otherwise distribute content that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children. This includes, without limitation:
+
+- child sexual abuse material;
+- grooming or attempted grooming of a minor for sexual purposes;
+- sexual extortion or coercion involving minors;
+- trafficking or sexual exploitation of children;
+- sexualized content involving minors;
+- using the app to facilitate child abuse or exploitation.
+
+## 2. Nature of the service
+
+Insporation is a **client application** for the **diaspora\*** federated social network. Content shown in the app may be hosted by independently operated diaspora\* servers (“pods”), which are not operated or controlled by the developer of Insporation.
+
+Because of this federated architecture:
+
+- the developer of Insporation does not centrally host or pre-screen all content visible through the app;
+- moderation authority often rests with the operator of the server hosting the account or content; and
+- the developer may have limited ability to remove content from third-party servers directly.
+
+## 3. Reporting abusive content
+
+Insporation provides an **in-app reporting mechanism to the user’s diaspora\* server operator**, where users can report content or accounts through the moderation/reporting functionality made available by their server.
+
+Because diaspora\* is decentralized, reports about abusive or unlawful content are generally handled by the operator of the relevant server hosting that content or account.
+
+Users who encounter suspected child exploitation, child endangerment, or CSAM should use the in-app reporting tools to notify their server operator immediately.
+
+## 4. Developer response and cooperation
+
+When the developer of Insporation obtains actual knowledge that the app is being used in connection with CSAE or CSAM, the developer will take appropriate action consistent with applicable law, these standards, and the technical capabilities of the app.
+
+Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
+
+- reviewing reports or notices received by the developer;
+- preserving relevant information as reasonably necessary for safety review or legal compliance;
+- notifying the relevant server operator or service provider;
+- restricting app-level behavior or integrations where technically feasible;
+- reporting confirmed CSAM to the **National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)** or another relevant authority, where required or appropriate under applicable law;
+- cooperating with lawful requests from competent authorities.
+
+## 5. Federated-network limitations
+
+Because Insporation is only a client for a decentralized network, the developer may be unable to delete content directly from third-party servers. Where direct removal at the source is not technically possible, enforcement may depend on the operator of the server hosting the relevant content or account.

+## 6. Compliance with law
+
+Insporation is intended to comply with applicable child safety laws and regulations, including legal obligations relating to the handling and reporting of CSAM.
+
+Nothing in these standards limits any obligation to report confirmed CSAM to NCMEC or another relevant authority, where required by law.
+
+## 7. User responsibilities
+
+Users are responsible for complying with applicable law and the rules of the diaspora\* server they use.
+
+Users must not share, redistribute, or preserve suspected CSAM except as strictly necessary for lawful reporting.
+
