mSBC audio streaming appears corrupt on 8987 starting from mxm5x17283

I have been using the SDIO-UART 8987 chipset for mSBC audio capture for a while now using firmware 16.92.10.p207.

Recently took a look to make sure we upgraded our firmware to latest, however now when I capture 16000Hz mSBC audio over HCI-UART, the audio is garbled. A2DP appears to be unaffected.

If I revert to any firmware version earlier than 16.92.21.p11 - then all is ok. Last know good firmware from my testing is: 16.92.10.p210.1

Can someone please take a look at this? I tested wit hthe same design (8987 mSBC audio over HCI UART) and this is still broken in the latest release (mxm18505.p4 Nov. 2024).

Just bumping this. I am seeing an improvement in mSBC audio - no garbling. But what I am seeing is an issue where it does push any audio out to IPHONE 17 specifically. Some investigation may be needed
