The Open Handbook Commons is a community-driven project that creates practical books about everyday life skills. Our goal is to make useful knowledge available to everyone, no matter where they live or what their background is.
The books cover simple, practical topics that help people in daily life—things that make it easier to solve problems, learn new skills, and become more independent. All of the books are written in simplified English so that they are easier to read and understand for a wide range of readers, including people who are not native English speakers.
Our books are released as downloadable, print-ready PDF files. This means anyone can read them on a computer or phone, or print them and share them with others.
All content is written, reviewed, and improved by volunteers from the community. Contributors work together to make sure the books are clear, practical, and useful.
The Open Handbook Commons is built on a simple idea: important life skills should be shared openly so that everyone can learn from them.
