v1.14.0 not found error in actions

I recently upgraded the workflow to 1.14.0 and now get this persistent error:

Reverting back to 1.13.0 works

Thanks for the report @Apollon77. I'm not sure why yet, but it seems like that tag is missing from the GHCR images for this action:

Specifically there's a release-v1.14 but not a v1.14 like with previous images. @webknjaz any thoughts?

Urgh.. I think I triggered it wrong. We need better automation for consistency. Enough time has passed that I don't remember how to correctly call that workflow 🤦‍♂️

Yeah, I think typing in v1.14.0 in the input field @ https://github.com/pypa/gh-action-pypi-publish/actions/workflows/build-and-push-docker-image.yml?query=event%3Aworkflow_dispatch fixed it. But I probably messed up v1.13 a bit. Though, there's no breaking behavior changes between these so I doubt anyone would notice..

I think in the past I might've been triggering the workflow before pushing the tag, not after. But at least we have the input format documented now.

The local command I issued a few days ago was git push origin --atomic unstable/v1 v1.14.0 release/v1.14 release/v1, which triggered the image creation for the release-v1.14 and release-v1 tags. But the v1.14.0 image is made via workflow_dispatch. The main components of the automation have been implemented in #230. But attempts to unify the workflow existed earlier in #45 (never got to completing that).

Feel free to restart the job now, I'm marking the issue as solved.
