An excel ai which works like shortcut.ai

Proposed idea

Please somebody build the same to same to working open source model. Students like me can't buy those expensive featured ai tool that works in excel. Shortcut ai excel addin is great. I tried building that but i could not. Please please some great developer bring that ai addin for free which would help student like us. or we can pay 5 to 10 dollars for subscription but shortcut ai is very expensive.

Real use cases

Accountant, students any one can use who cant afford those expensive subscription.

Thanks for sharing this idea. Before building a separate product, it is worth noting that AAS already includes skills covering much of this workflow.

The ""xlsx-official"" (https://github.com/sickn33/agentic-awesome-skills/tree/main/skills/xlsx-official) skill allows an AI coding agent such as Codex or Claude to create, read, analyze, edit, recalculate, and validate ".xlsx" workbooks from natural-language instructions. It supports multiple sheets, formulas, formatting, existing templates, financial-model conventions, and formula-error validation.

This is not currently a native Excel add-in with a live sidebar like Shortcut. The workflow is instead: provide the workbook and instructions to an agent, let it modify and validate the file, and receive the updated workbook.

Therefore, if your main requirement is affordable natural-language creation and editing of Excel files, much of it is already possible with AAS skills. A fully integrated Shortcut-style Excel interface would be a separate product and is outside the current scope of AAS Core.
