Why is the main app.js bundle size 8 Mb?

The JS bundle size is 8 Mb . Am I doing something wrong or is it really 8 MB?

Unfortunately, it really is around 8MB. I'm going to be doing some work over the next couple of months to reduce our number of dependencies, but for now it is what it is.
