Is there a game that has land units with SBR capabilities? I find it hard to follow your explanation as I have never seen this in any map. |

Land units can have "isStrategicBomber", which is blocked for 'isSea' units. This allows land units to perform SBR attacks. After a successful SBR attempt, all units participating in the SBR, this includes the attacking land and air units, their escorting land and air units and the defenders' intercepting land and air units but does not include defenders' AA units, are restricted from participating in the general battle, if there is a general battle.
If during the general battle, the attacker chooses to retreat, and has surviving land units that participated in the general battle, this excludes all units, land or air, that participated and survived the proceedings SBR attack, then all land units, including those land units that participated and survived the proceedings SBR attack, are retreated. If there are only air units surviving the general attack, with all participating land units removed, and are selected to retreat. Then they will move during the non-combat move along with only the surviving air units from an SBR attack. Surviving land units from an SBR attack will remain in the attacked territory and will not be retreated.
In summary;
If land units do an SBR attack, the surviving attacking and escorting units remain in the attacked territory after the general battle, unless retreated with land units that are retreating from the general battle. If the attacker loses the general battle or retreats only surviving air units, land units that survive an SBR attack are not retreated.
If the attacker wins the general battle, the attacker will be awarded ownership of the territory, only if the attacker has surviving land units from the general battle. Surviving air units and surviving SBR, including surviving land units that participated in the SBR attack, cannot capture territory. but if the defender has surviving land intercepted units from an SBR attack, then those units will remain in the attacked territory, making it a con tested territory.
What should happen to the surviving land SBR attackers and land escorts if the defender retains control of the attacked territory?
Be removed.
Be allowed to retreat the same as attacking SBR air units.
Be allowed to be selected as casualties and provide support during general combat.
Be allowed to fully participate in general combat.
Nothing, let the units remain in the attacked territory.
What should happen to the defenders surviving land interceptors if the attackers gain control of the attacked territory?
Be removed like defending air interceptors that did not scramble.
Be allowed to retreat.
Be allowed to be selected as casualties and provide support during general combat.
Be allowed to fully participate in general combat.
Nothing, let the units remain in the attacked territory.
Cheers...
