What's New in Alpha 0.1.0

🌑 First Playable Build!

  • Core Gameplay:
    • Play as the mysterious wanderer lost in a haunted forest at midnight.
    • Listen to the guidance of a mysterious storyteller who helps you find a way out before sunrise.
    • The forest is a looping maze filled with danger and strange encounters.
  • Level Design:
    • Procedurally looping forest maze—every run feels unsettlingly familiar yet different.
    • Hidden dangers and safe spots scattered throughout.
  • Narrative/Lore:
    • Discover fragments of the story: who are the forsaken souls? Why are you here?
    • Atmosphere inspired by dark fairy tales and folk horror.
  • Graphics & Camera:
    • Hand-crafted pixel art in a 2D, top-down layered view.
    • Native 2D effects for immersive horror ambiance.
  • Controls:
    • Full keyboard + mouse support.
  • UI:
    • Minimalist interface to keep you immersed.
    • Simple menu and inventory (WIP).
  • SFX/VFX:
    • Ambient soundscape: forest whispers, eerie footsteps, unsettling creature noises.
  • VFX: fog, dynamic lighting, and ghostly overlays.

Known Issues / Limitations

  • Core loop is functional, but major narrative sequences and endings are placeholders.
  • Some SFX/VFX are still work-in-progress.
  • Occasional pathfinding quirks in certain map areas.
  • Some UI features are not yet implemented.

What’s Next

  • More environmental storytelling and dialogue.
  • Expanded lore and unique forest events.
  • Additional SFX and polish to the atmosphere.
  • More endings, secrets, and new creatures.
