Omnibites

The retro community for video game soundbites

Review Soundbites · Explore Music · Create Soundbite

🕹️ OMNIBITES

Omnibites is a web community where gamers can find, listen to, rate, download, and share soundbites from their favorite video games. It runs entirely in your browser, with no installation required.

A soundbite is a 15-second clip with an automatic fade-in and fade-out — that classic effect you might remember from selecting a game on a Nintendo screen, where the music would play softly before jumping into the main menu.

What can you do here?

💿 Search for music from any retro video game and instantly listen to a 15-second preview.
💿 Trim the exact fragment you want and download it as an MP3.
💿 Upload your own soundbites and share them with the community.
💿 Rate soundbites from other players.
💿 Build a collective retro library with gaming's finest audio moments.

Important

This is the official Omnibites repository. Do not access the project from third-party sites, unauthorized forks, or external links.

🎵 Why Omnibites?

Video game music is a core part of popular culture and deserves its own dedicated space. Those themes you used to hum while playing, the ones that made you nervous right before a final boss, the melodies that still play in your head 20 years later — they exist, they are real, and they belong to everyone.

Omnibites was born to preserve that music and make it accessible in a way that no other platform offers today.

Omnibites demo

Add soundbites to your favorite games, right inside your launcher. Hover over a title and let its theme play — the same trick iiSU and other front-ends use to bring your library to life.

Note

Omnibites is an independent project in active development, every soundbite uploaded by the community helps the library grow. If you’ve arrived here early, you’re part of something that’s just getting started.

🚀 Roadmap: What's Next

Omnibites is growing fast, and with your support we can unlock even more features — from trivia challenges and achievements to playlists and community tools. Every contribution helps speed up the journey.

APK: Omnibites Mobile

Warning

The mobile app is in planning. There is no official Omnibites APK yet — any you find is fake.

The mobile app is still in planning, and no official APK exists yet — any you find is fake. The native Android version will bring exclusive perks like smart search, offline downloads, notifications, and a waveform editor, all designed to make soundbites even more powerful on the go.

Tools

Compatibility

Omnibites integrates seamlessly with iiSU and other retro frontends that support custom soundbite playback.
Because all soundbites are delivered in MP3 format and limited to 10–15 seconds, they are extremely lightweight — typically between 200 and 300 kbps, rarely exceeding 400 kpbs per clip. This ensures fast loading, smooth playback, and excellent audio quality across compatible platforms.

Using open formats and minimal metadata makes it easy to extend or embed soundbites into any frontend that supports custom audio hooks or media previews.

💚 Contribution

Omnibites is designed to be lightweight and community-driven. Audio playback is powered by publicly available digital audio libraries, while game information and cover artwork are retrieved from public video game databases and image services. The project respects copyright and only uses content that is publicly accessible.

The service is completely free and ad-free. If you enjoy Omnibites or simply want to help the project continue growing, you can support its development:
