Fixed-wing UAV Explorer — Limited Edition

Version 1.0.0-limited · Code license: AGPL-3.0 · Data license: CC BY-NC 4.0 · Requires: Python 3.10+

An interactive dashboard for exploring and comparing fixed-wing UAV characteristics across mass, geometry, performance, and mission attributes. This is the public limited edition intended for students, researchers, and design educators.

What's in this limited edition

  • Dataset: 710 fixed-wing UAVs (stratified sample of a larger curated database)
  • 3 analytical tabs:
    • Dataset Overview — shape of the data, completeness, distributions
    • Compare Two Filters — side-by-side comparison of two filtered subsets with sizing-relation scatter, literature overlays, prediction bands, and density heatmaps
    • Design-Space Explorer — place a candidate design in the data cloud across flexible scatter, scatter matrix, and parallel coordinates

Quick start

Already have Python 3.10+? Clone and run:

git clone https://github.com/MoatasemMomtaz/uav-dashboard-limited.git
cd uav-dashboard-limited
python -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate              # or .\.venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1 on Windows
pip install -r requirements.txt
streamlit run app.py

The app opens automatically in your browser at http://localhost:8501.
