Tired of being locked into Scribd's subscription? This lightweight Chrome extension lets you download any Scribd document as a properly formatted PDF - with one click, no login, and no hassle.
- One-click download. Open a Scribd document, click the extension icon, and go. The extension handles the rest.

Since this extension isn't on the Chrome Web Store, you'll install it manually:
- Go to the Releases page and download the latest ZIP file.
- Extract the ZIP to a folder anywhere on your computer.
- Open Chrome and go to
chrome://extensions/. - Turn on Developer mode (top-right corner).
- Click Load unpacked (top-left) and select the extracted folder.
That's it - the extension is ready to use.
- Open any Scribd document (the URL should look like
https://www.scribd.com/document/...). - Click the Scribd PDF Downloader icon in your Chrome toolbar. (If you don't see it, click the puzzle piece icon and pin it.)
- Click Start Downloader.
- Wait for the extension to load every page of the document.
- When Chrome's print dialog opens, choose Save as PDF as the destination and click Save.
- Done! Click Return to Document Page to go back to Scribd.
Tip: If your connection is slow, increase the Scroll Delay slider in the popup before starting. This gives each page more time to load.
